Matthew David Evans Boyer died on September 6, 2024 as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident.
Matthew (Matt) was born on July 5, 1994 to David and Maggie Boyer in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He was married to Beverly Saldivar on March 25, 2016. They originally made their home in Tulsa, but moved to Bartlesville in 2018 They have three sons, Eli, Nicholas, and James. A fourth son, Henry, is due to arrive in December.
Matthew was a teacher at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic School in Tulsa. It was his calling, one in which he invested his heart and soul. He loved the school, the faculty, staff, and especially his students.
Prior to working at Saints Peter and Paul school, Matthew was a fire fighter. Most recently, he served as the Assistant Fire Chief in Collinsville, Oklahoma. But he felt the Lord calling him to an entirely different vocation and he answered the call.
Matthew was loud, bossy, opinionated, passionate, fun, kind, loving, empathetic and compassionate. He managed to combine all those traits into one very remarkable man. He loved his wife and boys and was committed to being a good husband and father. Beverly was his anchor, as he said many times he needed her. Above all, he loved Christ and the Catholic Church. He came into full communion with the Catholic Church in February of this year. It was not a decision he made lightly. After years of prayer and study, he was confirmed on February 10, 2024. Again, it was an answer to the Lord's call.
He leaves behind his wife, Beverly. His four sons, Eli, Nicholas, James, and Henry. Also surviving Matthew are his parents, David and Maggie Boyer, his sister, Lindsey Beukelman and husband Stephen, his nephew Titus and niece Isla. He is also survived by his Grandmother, Jo Ann Boyer. He loved Beverly's family as much as his own, Parents-in-law, Angel and Socorro Saldivar, Eric Saldivar, Giselle (Matt) Foster, Alex (Kira) Saldivar, and Andy Saldivar. In addition, Matthew leaves uncles, aunts, cousins, and countless friends who grieve his loss.
Matthew's cousin, Jared Jaggers said "If there is anyone in this world who didn't love Matt, I never want to meet them".
A Rosary will be prayed Friday, September 13 at 8:00 PM at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church. A Latin Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Matthew on Saturday, September 14, 10:00 AM at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 1436 N 67th East Avenue, Tulsa OK 74115. Services are under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home. No visitation will be held, but a register book will be available for people to sign in Bartlesville at Stumpff Funeral Home.

I am devastated over Matthews' death. I didn´t know him very long, but he was the first to reach out when I moved in across the street last December. I have never known such a loving kind person
He will be missed immensely and leaves a spot here on earth that no one will be able to fill like him. My love to Beverly and his 3 sons.
