Matthew Giantonio, August 18, 1962 – July 31, 2023 age 60 left this world unexpectedly on July 31, 2023 in Dunn, NC. Matthew was born in Hartford CT. and grew up in Glastonbury.
Matthew is survived by his sons; Adam Matthew Giantonio of Dunn, Matthew Jon Giantonio (Morgan Giantonio) Daughter; Renee Katherine Giantonio. Mother; Janice T. Giantonio of Cromwell, CT three brothers; Michael Giantonio (Alison Giantonio), Francis Giantonio Jr. (Tina LeBlanc), Andrew Giantonio (Jennifer Giantonio) grandchildren; Alex Bryant, Kylie Emery, Fischer Garrett, Karma Garrett, Kinsley Giantonio, Wyatt Giantonio, and Colt Giantonio and long time friend and mother of his children; Diane Giantonio. Host of Nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.
Matthew was preceded in death by his loving father; Francis Giantonio Sr. (October, 2020), and both Maternal & Paternal grandparents.
Matthew was a loving father. He was always working on a car either for work, personal, or to help a family or friend it was something that always brought him joy. Matthew enjoyed the small things in life, like spending time with his dogs and friends.
Matthew found his peace when he was fishing especially with his sons. He loved the calmness that he felt when he was by a pond and when he felt the tug of a fish.
Matthew was loved and cherished by many. He truly made an impact on so many lives that will forever be changed. Memories with him will be cherished and held on to for lifetimes, and he will truly be missed by many.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 9 at 11:00AM at West and Dunn Funeral Home Chapel in Benson.
