Mathew “Steve” Papa Jr. was born on January 15, 1956, in Kansas City, Kansas to parents, Matthew and Marlene Papa. He graduated from Washington High School in Kansas City, Kansas and Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas. He married Linda Trentmann on May 30, 1992 and from this marriage they were blessed with two sons. He spent much of his time with family and friends. He was employed as a flight instructor at CAE and he also developed several successful businesses. Steve enjoyed flying, traveling the world, food, and watching Kansas City sports teams. He is preceded in death by his mother, his brother, and numerous extended family members. Steve will be fondly remembered by his wife Linda; sons Jacob and Alex; father Matthew; brother Paul; and many friends and family members. Visitation will be on Friday, January 13, from 1:00PM to 3:00PM at the Terrace Park Chapel with a graveside service to follow at the Lakeside Chapel at the Terrace Park Cemetery. Both located at 801 NW 108th Street, Kansas City, MO 64155.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the EMIC Bless Israel Fund. www.giving.emic.org.
