Born in Lebanon, PA on September 11, 1984, a son of Lester E. and Ann E. (Gettel) Weaver of Cornwall.
Matt was a 2004 graduate of Cedar Crest High School. Lebanon. He earned his Bachelor's Degree from DeVry University in 2008.
He was employed by Evolve IP as a network engineer for 16 years.
Matt was a member of National Association of Rocketry and Elstonville Sportsman Club.
He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan who enjoyed golf, chess, disc golf, Nascar, kayaking, and mountain biking. Matt completed the Philadelphia 1/2 marathon. He had a huge interest in the Space program and loved computers and technology.
In addition to his parents, Matt is survived by a brother, Benjamin Weaver, husband of Michelle, of Cornwall; and many Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Russel and MaryAnn Gettel, and his paternal grandparents, Walter and Eleanora Weaver.
Celebration of Life will be held Friday, September 13, 2024 at 5 p.m. at Grose Funeral Home, Inc., 358 W.Washington Ave., Myerstown, PA. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to, Humane Society of Lebanon County 150 N. Ramona Road Myerstown, PA 17067.
