Maud Picone of Covington, Louisiana, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. Maud, more affectionately known to many as Marie, was born on New Year's Day in 1947 in New Orleans, Louisiana but spent most of her life in Harahan, Louisiana where she raised her three sons.
She was a member of the very first graduating class of Riverdale High School in 1964. Later in life, she retired from working as a court clerk at Harahan City Hall. She used to love to go fishing, was a long-time cabbage ball player at Harahan Playground, and loved to march in the St. Patrick’s Day and Irish-Italian parades.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert Kuhn and Doris May Luke Kuhn. She is survived by her three sons, Joseph III (Doreen), Jeffrey (Joanna), and Jeremy (Trish), as well as her six cherished grandchildren, Caterina, Margarite (Maggie), Nicolas, Jaden, Jordan, and Jackson. She also leaves behind two sisters, Drusilla Jamieson and Doris Kuhn, along with nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service at Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, located at 75212 Hwy 437, Covington, Louisiana 70435 on June 30, 2025, with Visitation beginning at 10:00 AM with Mass to follow at 12:00 PM. She will then be laid to rest at Eternal Rest Cemetery, located at the same address.
