Maurice F Bissonnette

Moosup- Maurice F. "Moe" Bissonnette, 92, passed away on Sept. 29, 2022 at the Villa Maria Nursing Home in Plainfield, CT. He was born on Aug. 28, 1930, a son to the late Eva (LaRose) and William Bissonnette. He was one of seven children. He was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth (Cournoyer) Bissonnette. He is survived by his 5 children Aurise Mitchell and husband Stephen, Aram Bissonnette and wife Lori, Alison Dore, Andrea Gray and husband Bob, Aimee Whitneck and husband Derek.; 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren
Moe was born, raised and spent his entire life living in Moosup, CT. He served his country within the US Army. He was employed for many years at Mansfield State training school and part time at Western Auto in Moosup. After retirement from Mansfield he went to work for Kaman Aerospace in Moosup. Moe enjoyed going to the beach and puttering in his garage. Moe also loved ice cream and milkshakes, especially Hank's Dairy Bar coffee milkshakes.
There will be memorial visitation at the Dougherty Brothers Funeral Home & Crematory 595 Norwich Rd., Plainfield on Sun Oct 9, 2022 from 2-4PM. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Legion Post 91 in Moosup. www.doughertybrosfuneralhome.com
