Mo was preceded in death by his father, Bob Hestand; his mother, Elsie Hestand; and his bonus dad, Jerry Genzer.
Mo was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend. He is survived by his loving wife, Terri Hestand; his son, Dylan Hestand, and daughter-in-law, Emily Hestand. He also leaves behind his cherished siblings, Dorothy, Bessie, Jim, and Mike; his best friend, Robert Genzer, and wife, Margot; and his bonus mom, Lois Genzer.
Mo had a passion for being a beloved and involved father, always supporting and guiding his son with love and encouragement. Mo had a deep love for bowling, golfing, fishing, and cheering on his beloved OU football team. He and Terri also shared a special love for the beaches of Galveston, where they made countless cherished memories together. Above all, Mo was a man of strong faith, devoted to Jesus Christ, whose love and guidance shaped his life.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
Rest in peace, Mo. Your love, laughter, and unwavering faith will never be forgotten.
