Melissa Mullins, age 56, passed away Friday, August 30, 2024, at her home on Harless Creek. Melissa was born November 10, 1967, to her parents Larry Gene (Sally Jo) Mullins and Patricia Ann Cameron. She was a homemaker and a member of the Blessed Hope Freewill Baptist Church where she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary.
Melissa was preceded in death by her step-dad Robert Clark Cameron, her maternal grandparents Opal and Acy Thacker and her paternal grandparents Ercil and Ganie Mullins.
Besides her parents Melissa is survived by one son, Ryan (Rebecca) Brown, one sister, Melinda (Jody Bryant) Ratliff, one brother, Larry Steven Mullins, three grandchildren, Merida Brown, Emma Brown, Amara Brown, three special nieces, Kairbella Ratliff, Piper Ratliff. and Rebecca Ratliff, a special uncle, Tom Thacker, and a host of loving family and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday September 1, 2024, at Lucas and Son Funeral Home at 6:00 PM, Monday September 2, 2024, at 6:00 PM, with church services beginning at 7:00 PM with Tommy England and Tony Thacker officiating. Funeral services will be Tuesday September 3, 2024, at 1:00 PM with Tommy England and Tony Thacker officiating. Burial will follow at Annie E. Young Cemetery.
