Meredith Eugene Tompkins III, 66, of Masury, OH, passed away on March 11, 2025, in his residence surrounded by his children, following an extended illness.
He was born in Sharon, PA on January 25, 1959, to Meredith Eugene Tompkins and Wanda (Maiden Name) Tompkins.
Meredith was married 22 years to Jennifer Lynn Tompkins (Ramsey) until her death on June 27th, 2010.
Everyone knew Meredith as Buddy. In 1976 he joined the United States Army to serve his country and ultimately honorably discharged in 1985. During his time in the military, he enjoyed serving our country and served his country proud. After getting out the military, he met his wife Jennifer and they then got married and had 3 children. Who all survive at home.
Buddy retired in 2020 and started to really enjoy life. Later that year he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Kidney Cancer which ultimately took his life. He enjoyed fiddling with electronics and overall, anything electronic he can fix. He enjoyed family time and loved his BMW.
He is survived by his mother Wanda Tompkins, his siblings; Deborah Rust, Frederick Tompkins, Arthur Tompkins and his wife Sharon Tompkins.His children, Michael Tompkins, Tara Tompkins and her spouse Steven Cooper, Helena Zieger (Tompkins) and her husband Troy Zieger. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Lena Cooper, Kaillub Cooper and Allan Ziegler.
He is preceded in death by his father and sister, Patty Tompkins.

A graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park located at 2619 East State Street on Friday, March 14th at 2:30 pm.
