Michael was born in York on August 9, 1982 and was the son of Michael G. and Teresa Altland. He attended Spring Grove Area School District and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and baseball.
In addition to his parents Michael and Teresa, Michael is survived by his fiancé Tammy Klinedinst; his stepdaughter Hailey Dehoff; his sister Kara Altland and fiancé Jesse; his grandmother Nancy L. Altland; his aunt Lori Jones; his nephew Jason Tompkins; his biological mother April Jones; and numerous cousins. Michael was preceded in death by his grandfather Gordon Altland.
A Memorial Service in celebration of Michael's life will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at 6:00PM at Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., of Spring Grove, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove, PA 17362. Interment will be private. The family will receive relatives and friends from 5:00PM – 6:00PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Michael's memory may be made to a local youth sports organization of your choice.

He was such a delight and joy to have around and could ALWAYS bring a smile to your face and make you laugh. No matter what kind of day you were having. And if you needed help in any way he'd be there. Rest easy man! Love ya!

Mike, Teresa, Lori, Aunt Nancy and families,
I'm so sorry for your loss. My heart is breaking for all of you. I remember what a sweet boy Michael was and have fond memories of babysitting him and Alicia when they were little. Sending love, hugs, support and prayers.
