Mike was born June 22, 1962 in Pigeon to the late John and Bernadine (Gelnaw) Bruce. In 1980 he graduated from Laker High School. He married Patricia Jordan on August 29, 2015 in Bad Axe. Mike worked as a farmer and retired as a truck driver for Robby Iseler Trucking. He was known for telling stories, some embellished with fiction. He liked Nascar, especially Dale Earnhardt Sr. He enjoyed spending time with friends, family and his dog Rudy.
Mike is survived by his wife Patty; children Jerrilynn (Nicholas) Knollinger, Luke, and Becky; grandchildren Cohen and Bennett; step-children Bethany (Dan) Barton, Becky Kady, Cory (Joe) Janssen and Emily (Bob) Wisneski; step-grandchildren Hayden, Kamryn, Chandler, Chelsea, Peyton, Skyler, Evan, Rylee, Tanner, Michael, Lyncoln, Jacob, and Olivia; great-grandchildren Blu, Emery, Jettson, and Aubrey; brothers John (Jill), Jim (Harriet), Bill (Linda), Dave (Edwinna), and Brad (Pat); sisters Lorie Krohn and Kathy (Randy) Kerr; step-siblings Gary and Kevin Kivel, and Sherry Burns; sisters-in-law Kathie, Barb Herford, and Sally Bruce; and brother-in-law Paul Smith. He was preceded in death by his brothers Ted, Dan, and Don, sister Linda Smith, granddaughters Alexandria and Lauren.
Visitation will be Noon to 6:00pm Sunday, March 16th at the Champagne Funeral Chapel. There will be no service.
Memorials may be made to the family.
