Michael Robert Farmer, 69, of Georgia, formerly of Windsor Locks, died on May 29, 2023. He was born
April 28, 1954, in Manchester to Robert and Lila (Gagnon) Farmer. Michael graduated from Windsor
Locks High School, then married his high school sweetheart, Lynn Montenieri on September 28, 1974.
He proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War where he was in Pararescue
and received the Distinguished Service Award. He worked as an HVAC Technician for both the
Connecticut and Georgia Trane companies. He was a member of the American Legion, loved fishing
and watching his grandsons play soccer. Michael had a great sense of humor, cared deeply for his
family and supported all veterans, especially from the Vietnam Veterans. He was smart, witty, and
compassionate. Besides his wife, Lynn (Montenieri) Farmer, he is survived by his sons; Justin Leigh
Farmer and his wife Tanya of Midway, GA, Gregory Thomas Farmer and his wife Ashley of Grovetown,
GA; and his daughter, Lauren Bennett and her husband Joshua of Aurora, CO; his 5 grandchildren, John
Michael Farmer, Leigh Ann Farmer; Nicholas Farmer, Charlie Farmer and Miles Bennett; his mother, Lila
Farmer; his sisters, Sue Danis and her husband Dan, Judi Mercadante and her husband Tony, Sandy
Marshall and his brother Bill Farmer. He was predeceased by his father Robert Farmer in 2021.
Relatives and friends may join the family on Thursday, June 8, 2023, from 5 – 7 pm at Windsor Locks
Funeral Home, 441 Spring St, Windsor Locks. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, June
9, 2023, at 10:00 am at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Windsor Locks. Burial will follow at St. Mary
Cemetery. In lieu of floral tributes, the family suggests donations to the Vietnam Veterans of America
