Michael L. Qualkenbush, 67, of Indianapolis, passed away September 22, 2024. He was born October 17, 1956 in Indianapolis, son of Ernest and Marilynn (Hall) Qualkenbush.
Mike was a 1975 graduate of Decatur Central High School. He then attended Indiana University prior to becoming employed with General Motors in 1977. Mike was a member of the UAW and served as a Union Representative for several years before retiring in 2010.
As a world traveler, Mike enjoyed the pleasure of visiting many countries. A favorite place to visit was New Orleans where he attended various festivals throughout the year. Mike had many interests, which included wood carving and spending time working in his gardens, both flowers and vegetables. Shopping was a passion which Mike thoroughly enjoyed whether online or visiting the variety of shops.
In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his niece, Jessica Qualkenbush.
Survivors include his wife, Jacque Beck; sister, Debra Qualkenbush; and brother, Richard Qualkenbush.
Family and friends will gather Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 3 pm in Bussell Family Funerals, 1621 E Greyhound Pass, Carmel where the Celebration of Life Service will begin at 4 pm.
