Michael Dean Simpson, 75 of Waveland, Indiana, passed away at home surrounded by his family and friends on February 15, 2025. He was born on January 5, 1950 in Crawfordsville, Indiana to the late Forest and Ethel Mae Simpson.

Mike truly loved spending time with his family at get-togethers, reunions, cookouts, birthday parties, and camping. He also enjoyed watching his kids and grandkids show animals in 4-H, participate in baptisms and reenactments, and he especially had a love for watching them play sports!
Mike loved the Lord, his family, farming, his community and enjoyed watching any activities that his children and grandchildren were a part of. Mike was a first-generation farmer with his wife by his side. He continued to farm with his son, Mike, until he retired in 2022. Mike sold crop insurance through Wathen Crop Insurance for 25 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 255 and served in the National Guard. Mike was a member of the Russellville Community Church where he served as a deacon and an elder. His love for antique tractors, tractor pulls, and car shows will forever hold a special place in the hearts of anyone who knew him.

He is also survived by his daughters Mischa (Shawn) Hetrick of Rockville, Michele (Matt) Mitchell of Waveland, and son Michael "Mikie" (Jen) Simpson of Waveland.
