Michael Zukerman Obituary
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of beloved husband to Sondra (nee Sabul), and devoted father to Barry (Maura Fernbacher), and Stephanie Zukerman. Step-father to Beth (Kris) Shirk. Step-grandfather to Bailey, Autumn, and Shaun Shirk. Michael did undergraduate and graduate work in advanced mathematics and received a Masters in Education at 70 years old from Arcadia University. He taught math at University of Pittsburgh and several high schools in the Philadelphia area. He had a lifelong passion for the sport of table tennis, and reached a national ranking of 5th in his age group when he was a teen. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan.
Relatives and friends are invited to funeral services on Wednesday, August 16 at 11:30am (please arrive 30 minutes early) at Goldstein's Rosenberg's Raphael-Sacks Suburban North, 310 2nd Street Pike, Southampton, PA 18966. Interment Roosevelt Memorial Park. Shiva will be observed at the community room at Huntingdon Place (700 Welsh Road in Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006) on Wednesday until 7:30pm, Thursday from 3-7:30pm, and Friday from 11am-3pm. Donations in his memory man be made to Alzheimer's Association or the Hamotzi Fund at Keneseth Israel 8339 Old York Rd., Elkins Park, PA 19027.
