He left behind his daughter, Annette McCheyne; son, Roberto Melfi; grandson, Aaron Jankowski; granddaughter, Victoria Carr; granddaughter, Rene Melfi Quinones; grandsons, Robert Melfi and Cody Licari; great-granddaughters, Addeline Carr-Jankowski, Aurora Carr-Jankowski, and Madison Cash; great-grandson, Devon Quinones; and great-great-granddaughter, Charlie Cash.
He loved riding his bike around the park and will be missed by all his family and friends.
The funeral mass will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 3 Village Road, Newnan, GA 30265.
In lieu of flowers please donate to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in his name https://www.stjude.org/give.html.

To my wonderful step father I am so glad you came into our family. We are forever grateful for your love, caring and compassion toward our mother Dorie. I will cherish the times we spent together in Michigan and Florida. I enjoyed our many laughs that we shared, going to Sanibel Island, Ft Myers beach and our many trips to Loveboat Icecream. Those were the best of times.
