Mildred Baham, of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away at Richard Murphy Hospice House on Friday, May 23, 2025, at the age of 99. She was born on Sunday, February 14, 1926, in Ohio, the daughter of the late Noah Harter and the late Cordelia Wood Harter. She was a caregiver at Heritage Nursing Homes as well as in home caregiving for many years. In her spare time she could be found baking and decorating cakes, red velvet, wedding cakes, doll cakes, pies, and so many more. Strong in her faith, she attended Mike Vaughn Ministries for over 23 years. Mildred was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother; great-great-grandmother, sister, and friend who is already deeply missed.
Mildred is survived by her sister, Dorothy Sharon and grandchildren, Rochelle Miles (Lee), Dee McCarter, and Sissy McCarter Bickford (Travis); granddaughter-in-law, Lena McCarter; great-grandsons, Greyson Miles, Preston McCarter, Devin Dorsey, Christian McCarter, Zachary McCarter, Jesse Bickford (Shaylee), Connor Bickford, and Trent Bickford; great-granddaughter, Mikayla McCarter; and was so very proud to know her 6 precious great-great grandchildren, River, Maverick, Hayse, Rhett, Sebastian, and Seraphina.
