BARNEVELD– Millard G. "Bo" Carnright, Jr., 88, formerly of Trenton Road, passed away on August 24, 2025, at St. Joseph Health Center, Syracuse with his family by his side.
Mr. Carnright was born on April 30, 1937, in the Town of Russia, a son of the late Millard and Mabel (Darrow) Carnright. He graduated from Poland Central School. Bo entered the U. S. Army in 1962 where he served during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in 1964 at the rank of Private First Class. Bo was employed as a carpenter for over 40 years, first for Ed Hinge and then for Doug Lennon. He was a member of Adirondack Post #1118 American Legion, Cold Brook.
Survivors include two daughters, Christine (Brian) Lauri of Clay and Melanie (David) Sitler of Landsdale, PA; two sons, Jeff (Jini) Shortt of Leesburg, FL and William Ingersoll of Barneveld; five grandchildren, Tyler Shortt, Joshua and Zachary Lauri and Rhys and Imogen Sitler, three sisters, Betty Hoffert and Mildred Bonde, both of Cold Brook, and Judy Carnright; a brother, Mickey Carnright of Remsen; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bo was predeceased by a sister, Peg Ossont; two brothers, Ronald Carnright and an infant brother, Buddy Carnright.
Calling hours at the Autenrith Funeral Home, 7479 Main Street, Newport are Thursday, September 4 from 10:00am – 12:00pm. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery where Military Honors will be conferred by the U.S. Army Honor Guard.
