Milos Besterci Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jan. 7 to Jan. 14, 2024.
Milos Besterci Sr., born on January 22, 1950, bid farewell to this world on September 18, 2023. His passing leaves a void felt deeply by his devoted wife of 50 years, Donna Besterci, and their four children, Sharon Ardoline, Joe Besterci, Danielle Vanesko, and Milos Jeremy Besterci. His affection extended to six cherished grandchildren, who were a source of joy in his life.

At the age of 17, Milos embarked on a journey from Slovakia to the United States, driven by his passion for soccer. It was during his pursuit to speak the English language at GAR High School that he encountered the love of his life, Donna. Milos dedicated his professional life as a heavy highway Local 158 union member, exemplifying unwavering commitment by never taking a single day off.

Beyond his immediate family, Milos leaves a lasting impact on the lives of those he touched. Widely regarded as a friend by everyone in the community, he carried an easy-going nature and an infectious optimism. His laughter was a testament to his joyful spirit, creating bonds that transcended mere acquaintance.

Milos Besterci Sr. is preceded in death by his parents, Anna Ordos and Josef Besterci, and is survived by two sisters in Slovakia. His absence is keenly felt, as his warm presence, laughter, and uplifting demeanor remain etched in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. A private ceremony was held by his immediate family. Milos will be deeply missed, his memory a cherished reminder of the profound impact one individual can have on the lives of many.
