Nancy Ann Delahunt, an adored sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on September 26, 2024 at the age of 63, following a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
Born and raised in Massachusetts, Nancy was a proud graduate of Norwell High School and went on to further her education at Providence College. Throughout her professional journey, she showcased her expertise and dedication while working at iconic companies such as Polaroid and Bose.
Nancy's enthusiasm for life extended far beyond her career. She found great joy in golfing, and while her drive was neither long nor straight, and she was at best a mediocre putter, she was the most sought after member for a foursome. More than anything she took care of everyone, from her 5 unruly brothers to her 14 nieces and nephews, as well as her beloved parents in their final years. Nancy was the epitome of grace and warmth, dubbed the Jackie O. of her friend group. With her impeccable style and effortless charm, she lit up every room she entered, making her the favorite guest at every gathering. Beyond her magnetic presence, her legacy of kindness and elegance continues to inspire all who knew her and serves as a reminder to cherish each moment and uplift those around us.
With a heart full of love and a life filled with memories, Nancy leaves behind a deep void that will be felt by all who knew her.
Nancy was the daughter of the late Susan B. (Clary) Delahunt and Jack Delahunt. Loving sister of Paul Delahunt and his wife Lee Ann of Knoxville, TN; Jeff Delahunt and his wife Victoria of Dayton, OH; Peter Delahunt and his wife Theresa of Scituate; Steven Delahunt and his wife Kerry of Scituate; and John Delahunt and his wife Debra of Old Bridge, NJ. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her close group of friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A - Bicknell Square). Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Gregory's Church, Dorchester on Wednesday at 10 AM. Donations in memory of Nancy may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O.
