Nancy Jo Mayer passed away November 3, 2024 at Heart to Heart Hospice in Houston, Texas from her battle with cancer at the age of 78. She was born October 14, 1946 to parents Louis and Harriet Rosenberg.
She leaves her husband of 56 years, Morrie Mayer, her daughter Rikki Mayer Franklin and her husband George, her son Harrison Mayer and his wife Ada, her sister Penny Rosenberg Goldenhersh, five grandchildren, one great grandchild, and many dear friends.
Originally from University City, Missouri, Nancy maintained ongoing friendships from her University City Senior High School days. She met her future husband, Morrie, in high school and were married four years later.
They moved several times throughout the years, finally settling in The Woodlands, Texas in the mid-90's. Much of Nancy's adult life was spent managing an active family and busy household. Later, she became a Certified Pharmacy Technician - a career that fit her talents and personality well. Nancy had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. Her sense of style followed her everywhere. She never met a stranger and loved to talk about anything and everything. She will be missed. In lieu of a formal memorial service, a celebration of life will be scheduled by invitation only. We ask that donations be sent to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
