Nancy Jane Slattery

On Thursday, January 5, 2023 Nancy Jane Slattery (nee Hammersla) died peacefully with her loving children by her side in Silver Spring, MD. Born on May 27, 1926 to the late Ernest and Grace (nee Maher) Hammersla in Baltimore, MD. Beloved wife of the late David Anthony Slattery. Devoted mother of David A. Slattery (Elise DuBois) of Silver Spring, MD, Susan Slattery Jamison (Robert) of Poolesville, MD and Jonathan Slattery of Washington, DC. She was the proud grandmother of John Jamison, Laura Wright, Charles Jamison, Riley Jamison, and Nancy Jamison. She also was a proud great grandmother of nine great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister Mary Virginia Bladen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, January 9, 2023 at Saint Mary Roman Catholic Church, 18230 Barnesville Road, Barnesville, MD 20838. She will join her deceased husband when she is inurned at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA at a later date.
