NANCY M. STRATTON
Nancy M Stratton, 81, died peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on November 19, 2024. While not unexpected, this is a devastating loss for everyone who knew her. Born in West Virginia, Nancy was a force of nature who loved her friends and family fiercely. A longtime resident of Suffield, she was a generous friend and neighbor to all, ready to lend a hand and volunteer for anything.
Preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Winfield Metz; sister Brenda Jennings; brothers-in-law, Warren Salchak and Darrell Jennings; and son-in-law, Michael Stuhldreher. Nancy is survived by her adoring husband of 62 years, William; her grief-stricken daughters, Tari and Toni (Stuhldreher); and her much-loved grandson, Daniel Adams. She is also survived by her beloved sisters, Barbara Salchak, Debra Foutty, and Wynn Carder; and dozens of nieces and nephews, most of whom she gladly babysat over the years.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2024, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM, Hecker-Patron Funeral Home, 13151 Cleveland Avenue, NW, Uniontown. The funeral service for Nancy will be held at the funeral home on Monday, November 25, 2024, at 1:00 PM. Reverend Christopher White officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park Cemetery, Akron.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests making a donation to Cleveland Clinic Hospice, in Nancy’s name.
