Nelly earned both her bachelor's degree and master's degree from Montclair State University.
Nelly loved hiking, the beach, plants, flowers and all things in nature. She also loved to practice yoga and meditation.
Beloved daughter of Ellen N. (nèe Zaki) and the late Nashed Salib. Dear sister of Ashraf "Ash" N. Salib and wife Denise. Loving aunt of Alexandria and Zachary Salib. She is also survived by a loving extended family and friends.
The family will receive relatives and friends Thursday, May 1, 2025, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church, 5 Woodstone Drive, Cedar Grove, NJ. A funeral service is planned for Friday, May 2, 2025, 10:00 a.m. at St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church. Entombment will follow at Christ Church Cemetery and Mausoleum in Belleville, and a repast will follow at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Nelly to St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church, 5 Woodstone Drive, Cedar Grove, NJ 07009 would be appreciated.
Arrangements are under the direction of Shook's Cedar Grove Funeral Home, 486 Pompton Avenue, Cedar Grove, NJ.
