Niajae Vernon transitioned to his heavenly home on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Hartford Hospital. Niajae was born on January 13, 2000. He attended and graduated from Windsor High School and was employed at Overhaul Support Services as a blast technician.
Niajae leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother, Glendolyn Spence; father, Todd Vernon, Sr. and his dad, Javan Spence, who has been in his life since he was 5 years old. His sisters: lmyra, Ta'Naija, Tazmen, and Soleil Vernon, Kelley-Ann Brown, and Javaina Spence; brothers: Todd and Hasan Vernon, Javain, and Tijuan Spence; grandmothers, Rosalee Dickens and Barbara Brown (Mama G); aunts: Angela Vernon-Twells, Tracy Vernon-Ashley, Jenny Vernon-Vassell, and Michelle Raynor, and uncles: Alandel Bryant (Lily), Jamie Dickens (Araina), Taurean Bryant (Stephanie), Alonzo Middleton, Danny Bowers and Rowan Simms. Godmothers, Pamela Harrison and Vicky Forbes and his Godfather, Marcus Harris; goddaughters, Jenisis Fudge and Mai'je Edwards; nieces: Aliyana, Maddison, and Kheylani Willians, Chamyah Mclean, Da'Mani and Da'Mya Strums; nephews: Brian Williams, Jr., Da'Kari Strums and Tazon Thomas; his girlfriend, Anissa Walker, and a host of other close relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Shirley Cross; grandfathers: James Dickens (Papa), Glenford Vernon and Benjamin Middleton; uncle, Glen Middleton; great grandmother, Margaret Bryant and great grandfather, Franklin (LC) Bryant.
Niajae will be remembered for being lovable, charismatic, generous, strong, loyal and of course for his unique, refined sense of style. His life embodied practicing what you preached, being true to your word, living life to the fullest and acting out all your decisions like a man.
