Nicholas "Nick" Abbott (1979-2025). Born to the late Donald and Margaret (Wagner) Abbott, Nick's generous spirit and infectious humor made him unforgettable.
Nick was the beloved brother of Mary, Don, Maureen Ryan (Jim), Joe (Pam), Bill (Tanya), Val Bauer (Mike), Tony (Debbie), Liz Begley (Wayne), and Marcy Harding (Scott Crooks). He was predeceased by his sister Theresa and carried her memory with him always. As a devoted uncle, Nick cherished his many nieces and nephews: Jess Ryan (John Tokarz), the late Timmy, the late Patrick, Maggie Ryan (Jacob Hamilton), Justin and Cody Harding, Sarah (Ryan O'Keefe) and Zach Abbott, Jackie and Shannon Bauer, and Kaitlyn, Megan, and Tommy Begley. He also held a deep love for his extended family, including his aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Nick's love for the New Orleans Saints, Oakland A's, and Los Angeles Lakers was only matched by his love for superhero movies, particularly those featuring Batman. He loved going to the movies and attending game nights with his siblings, nieces and nephews. They laughed, shared snacks and made great memories together.
With a quick wit and a huge heart, Nick had a gift for making people laugh and feel seen. Thanksgiving mornings held a special place with him as the mixologist, serving up fun drinks and smiles. His ability to brighten any room was one of his many superpowers.
Sports or superhero attire is encouraged to honor Nick's passions. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation or No Kid Hungry.
