Nicholas Naef Basile, 29, of Mount Vernon NY, passed away on June 24, 2023. He was born April 30, 1994 in Bronxville, NY. He attended elementary school at Immaculate Conception School, high school at Iona Preparatory School, then Quinnipiac University, and Iona College for his Master of Business Administration.
Nick is survived by his parents Naef and Joanne Basile; his sisters Claire (Alex Kamerman) and Mary Josephine (Stefano Luppi) along with his soon-to-be nephew Leonardo Luppi. He is also survived by his aunts and uncle: Marianna Theresa Basile, Donna and Albert Accatino, and his cousins Douglas and Caroline Accatino.
Ever since he was a child Nick was always the funniest one in the room. He was outgoing and loved to be with his friends from childhood up to college, as well as his friends and brothers from the Surfside Recovery community. He greatly loved animals, especially his cats, Nylo, Bella, and Scout. Nick was very athletic, he loved playing and watching sports, working out and doing CrossFit. Growing up, he enjoyed playing video games with his sisters and continued to enjoy them his whole life. Nick was very much looking forward to becoming an uncle in August 2023.
Nick was and always will be loved beyond measure by his family and friends. He will be missed every day.
A wake for Nick will be held Friday, June 30 from 4-8 pm at Westchester Funeral Home: 190 Main Street, Eastchester, NY 10709. The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, July 1 at 10:30 am at Immaculate Conception Church: 53 Winterhill Road, Tuckahoe, NY 10707.
