Memorial Mass for Nicholas Renick Wade, 32, of Willoughby, will be 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor.
Nick passed away Oct. 15, 2022, at home.
Born Aug. 30, 1990, in Columbus, Nick grew up in Hudson and graduated from Hudson High School in 2009. He then studied art at Bowling Green State University.
Nick had lived in Willoughby for just over two years and had made many friends in Lake County. Nick was active in AA in both Summit and Lake Counties and was a member of St. Mary Parish and St. John Vianney Parish. He was a funny, kind, and gentle soul, and loved spending time with his family and friends. Nick had a passion for music, particularly the band Phish, and enjoyed playing guitar, attending concerts and movies, and reading Dean Koonz novels.
He is survived by his parents, Tom and Leslie Wade; brother, Matt Wade; sister, Christie (Rich) Zalanka; nieces and nephew, Kaelynn Wade, Ellie Zalanka and Richie Zalanka.
Nick was preceded in death by his sister, Stephanie Wade.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), in Mentor.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association at heart.org or NAMI at donate.nami.org.
