Nina Aunspaugh Pitts, age 85, of Searcy, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025 joining her parents and sisters in the divine Heavens and Eternal Home.
Nina was born July 23,1939 in Searcy, Arkansas to Leo and Sallie Aunspaugh. Leo and Sallie had five daughters, Oydiee (Yaya) Beckham, Mary Lee Roberson, Foydell Roberson, Geraldine (Jerry) Birdwell, and finally Nina Pitts. On August 21,1960, she happily married Donald Pitts in the city of Searcy.
Together they had three daughters, Camelia Doyle, Sheila Mohr, and Amanda Simmons. They also shared four grandchildren, Michel Doyle, Eric Doyle, Harley Simmons, and Benji Simmons. Lastly they had one great-grandchild, Aliera Doyle.
Nina graduated from Searcy High School in 1957. Soon she got her first job at Searcy Federal Savings and Loan as an Accountant, she also had many other jobs after that including being a grief counselor, office worker at ASU Beebe, and she ran a celebrate recovery group. She was a member of Searcy First Assembly.
Visitation will be at Searcy McEuen Funeral Home on Thursday, July 10, 2025 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service. Interment will be at Honey Hill Cemetery in Searcy. www.searcymceuenfuneralhome.com.
