Nora Anne Weinfurter, 84, our little Irish lady, passed away at Aspire Senior Living in Kimberly, Wisconsin on Saturday, July 26, 2025 after a stroke. She was born June 10, 1941, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Joseph and Lillian Conery. Nora graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1959. She married Robert "Bob" Weinfurter on October 7, 1989, in Lake Tahoe, NV. Bob always called her his tweety bird. He preceded her in death in 2016. Nora spent most of her career at the First National Bank where she enjoyed interacting with the community. She was an active member and volunteer at American Martyrs Catholic Church and was a member of GFWC, Christians Women's Club, and Red Hat Ladies. Nora and Bob enjoyed many summers fishing and spending time with friends at Bowen Lodge on Lake Winnibigoshish. Her favorite time though was spent with family, especially with her precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nora was a comfort to many and her quick wit and sassy smile will forever be missed. Nora is survived by her daughters, Annette (Chris) Jones of Norco, CA, and Kathy (Dave) Sirois of Sherwood, WI; step-sons, Rob (Lucy) Weinfurter of Fritz Creek, AK, and Greg (Christine) Weinfurter of Milwaukie, OR; brothers-in-law, Howard DeWayne (Pam) Weinfurter and Ron (Joyce) Weinfurter; sisters-in-law, Joyce (Peter) Quick, Elizabeth Weinfurter and Shirley Weinfurter; grandchildren, Ashley (Michael) Estrada, Kevin (Kelsie) Travis, Kristina (Stephen) Hernandez, Andrew Sirois, Elaina Sirois, Cody Hamm, Dylan Hamm, Rebekah (Trevor) Mumma, Eric (Miriam) Weinfurter, Jessie (Kyle) Mattson, Jody (Andy) Fetterhoff, Sarah (Sean) Blaine, Branden (Shauna) Weinfurter and Breana (Trevin) Stephens; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband Bob and her parents, Nora was preceded in death by her sister, Rose Conery; her son, Michael Hamm; and her daughter-in-law, Cara Hamm. A visitation for Nora will be held on Thursday, September 25th from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. A funeral mass will be at 11:00 am on Friday, September 26th at American Martyrs Catholic Church in Kingsford. Fr. Greg Heikkala will offer the Mass of Christian Burial, and burial will be at Iron Mountain Cemetery Park. The family would like to thank the loving staff at Aspire Senior Living, Moments Hospice, and especially to her dear cousin, Phyllis Zambon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trico, Almost Home Animal Shelter or the American Cancer Society. Condolences to the family of Nora A. Weinfurter may be expressed online at www.ernashfuneralhomes.com. The family has entrusted the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain with the arrangements.
