She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Rockaway. Mrs. DeSimone enjoyed sewing, gardening, and singing in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Choir. She formerly worked at Build a Bear Workshop, The Museum Company Store and NY Home for the Blind.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert DeSimone in 2020. She is survived by her daughter, Arlene (Anthony) Zagarino of Rockaway; her sons: Chaplain David A. DeSimone of Bronx, NY, Richard (Kimberly) DeSimone of Gilbertsville, PA, Robert (Marina) DeSimone, Jr. of Peekskill, NY and Edward (Christine) DeSimone of Rockaway; her adopted son, Rev. Rudy Gonzalez of Bronx, NY; her grandchildren: Christina, Victoria, Anthony, Domenic, Joseph, Abigail, Isabella, Aubrey, and Kinsey; great-grandchildren: Brayden, Zachary and Liam; and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, March 20 from 3:00 - 7:00 PM at the Morgan Funeral Home, 31 Main Street, Netcong. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 21 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 65 E. Main St, Rockaway. Interment following at St. Cecilia Cemetery, Rockaway.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. DeSimone's name would be appreciated to: St. Jude's Children's Hospital (stjude.org)
