Orrette was born in St. James, Jamaica, West Indies, on December 24, 1973, the son of Vinette Downer and the late Laxley Sterling, attended Weaver High School in Hartford, and was employed as a Dietary Aide for West Hartford Health and Rehabilitation for over 35 years.
In addition to the love of his life, Patricia Wade, and his mother, Vinette Downer, he is survived by his children, Brianna Sterling of Manchester, Brandon Sterling of Hartford, and Brittany Sterling of Hartford; his grandchildren, Harmony McCants, Kingsley Hamilton, Kamron Sterling, and Derry Holmes; his siblings, Sherine Arnold and her husband Clinton, Dwight Palmer and his wife Kiarema, and Trevor Fraser; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
His family will receive friends on Friday, April 10, 10-11 a.m., with a Celebration of Life, 11 a.m., at Holy Temple Church of God in Christ, 691 Windsor Ave., Windsor.
Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
