Orville Edward "Red" Orsted

Orville "Red" Edward Orsted, 88 of Lake Ridge, Virginia died at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland on Thursday, May 5, 2022. He was born in Sturgeon, Wisconsin in 1933 to the late John and Gertrude Orsted. Orville was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins and the 2019 World Series Champions, the Washington Nationals.
Including his parents, Orville was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lillian M. Orsted and his cherished granddaughter, Mikayle. He is also preceded in death by his caring siblings, Earl Orsted, and Patricia Orsted.
He is survived by his adored children, Sherry Kampa (Jerry), Russell Orsted (Patty), Edward Orsted (Victoria), and John Orsted (Carolyn), his cherished grandchildren, Kristine, Karin, Kevin, Erik, Adam, Russell Jr., Nicholas, Hunter, Haley, Christopher, and Ella-Mae. Orville is also survived by his treasured great grandchildren, Layla, Zayn, Sophia, and Hayden.
Family and friends will be received at Mountcastle Turch Funeral Home, 13318 Occoquan Road, Woodbridge, Virginia 22191 on Thursday, May 19, 2022, from 9:30am- to 11:30am. A life celebration service will begin immediately following the visitation at 11:30am. Internment will follow at Quantico National Cemetery, 18424 Joplin Road, Triangle, Virginia 22172 at 1:00pm
