Oscar retired from GKN with over 30 years of service. He was a member of the High Street Church of Christ and the NRA. Oscar enjoyed his farming, archery, and was an avid woodworker.
Oscar is survived by his wife of 44 years, Maurita; his 5 children: Kelley Greene, Jeremy Hobson, Tommy Hobson, Kyle Hobson and Leslie Green; a sister, Loretta Lewis; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Hunny.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Sarah Green; 4 brothers, 1 sister, and a grandchild, Tommy Jr.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the High Street Church of Christ in Salem, with Danny Jones officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church.
Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
