Pamela Jean (Waffle) Gattie, of Gloversville, passed away at home on July, 5 2023 after a long battle with illness.
She was born on August 30, 1954, in Gloversville, the daughter of the late Alvin Waffle and Helen Gage Waffle. Pam attended Gloversville schools and was very proud to earn her GED in May of 1987. She was employed by Johnstown Knit, Gloversville Enlarged School District, and Samco.
Pamela is survived by her children Hillary Calhoun, Corey (Melissa) Somerville, and Amanda Freeman; her grandchildren Joseph Somerville, Logan Calhoun, Alexandra Calhoun, Natalie Gattie, Autumn Freeman; and her two great grandchildren- Aria and Jonathan. She is also survived by her sisters Barbara (Dennis) Nagy, Nancy Demarest and sister-in-law, Nancy Waffle. Pamela is predeceased by her parents, her brother Alvin Waffle, sister Carolyn Nagy, and granddaughter Bethany Baker.
Pam cherished her family and the time she spent with them. She was an avid crafter and seamstress who loved the holidays and making special gifts for the people she loved. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren and was very proud of them. Her grandson Joseph lived with and took care of her for many years and the two of them shared a very special bond.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Grace Lutheran Church at 12:00 PM with a bereavement meal to follow.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc., 215 E. Main Street, Johnstown, NY.
