PAM JOHNSTON
Pamela Sue Johnston, age 73, born June 20, 1949, in Kansas City, Missouri, passed away April 18, 2023, in the comfort of her home in Kansas City, Missouri.
She was united in marriage to Glenn Wayne Johnston in 1991, and they lived in Kansas City, Missouri and later moved to Indianapolis, Indiana and both were dedicated members of the American Legion Wayne Post #64.
She was raised in Versailles, Missouri, with her grandmother Opal Beryln Anderson-Walls and later moved to Kansas City. She attended Raytown High School. She began a career with General Motors (Leeds Plant) in July of 1979 and retired from General Motors (Truck & Bus) plant in Indianapolis, Indiana in July of 2008. She was a loyal member of Local 93/Local 23 of the United Auto Workers Union.
In her spare time, she enjoyed playing poker, and her online computer games, and was a very resourceful shopper. Along with being an avid fan of NASCAR, she loved the Kansas City Chiefs and the Kansas City Royals.
Survivors include her children, James Patrick Donovan and wife Jackie of Kansas City, Missouri, Jason Allen Donovan of Kansas City, Missouri, and Jennifer Annette Jaramillo (Donovan) and husband Gabriel of Overland Park, Kansas and eight grandchildren, Joshua Patrick Donovan, Courtney Lee Donovan, Jonathan William Donovan, Jacob Allen Donovan, Alexandria Lynn Morris, Nicholas William Clark, Jalen James Fox, and Jacey Lisette Fox.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn W. Johnston; a daughter, Suzanne Leslie Donovan; parents, Willie Sue Mullins (Clark) & R. Foster and a grandmother, Opal Berlyn Anderson-Walls.
Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m., Monday, April 24, 2023 at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles, Missouri.
Graveside services and burial will be held at 2:30 p.m., Monday, April 24, 2023 at Union Cemetery, Rocky Mount, Missouri
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kansas City Hospice.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
