Pamela Anne Knight

With deep sorrow we announce the passing of Pamela Anne (Wimber) Knight, 76, who passed away of a heart attack on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 surrounded by her family. The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Monday, August 25th at Iles Grandview Park Chapel where funeral services will be held 11 am Tuesday, August 26th. Burial will follow at Hartford Cemetery.
Pam was born July 4, 1949 in Des Moines. She was a 1967 graduate of East High School and worked at American Equity for 16 years, retiring in 2014. She enjoyed crocheting and loved spending time with her family and friends especially with her grandchildren. Pam was known for her homemade Chicken Noodles and Texas Sheet Cake. She was a birdwatcher and especially enjoyed the hummingbirds while sitting on her deck or floating in the pool. For the last five years, Pam enjoyed spending time with Jim and his family.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Jenny (Steve) Millard, Heather (Scott) Worthington; grandchildren: Alexandria (Tim) Arpy, Tyler (Gemma) Millard, Tanner (Rachael) Millard, Kennadie (Jeff) Norrell, Delaynie (Aiden) Worthington; great grandchildren: Khloe and Kamdyn Behle, Leander and Everleigh Norrell; sisters: Jackie Bauer and Julie Nordstrom; several nieces and nephews.
Pamela was preceded in death by her husband, Monty (and it gives us peace to know she is reunited with him in heaven); her mother, Alice; her adopted mother, Helen and father, Jack; sisters: Betty, Diana, Carol; brother, Kenneth.
