Pamela Taylor Obituary

Published by Legacy on May 27, 2023.
Pamela Marie Taylor, or Pam as her loved ones affectionately called her, has swum her final lap and passed away on May 19, 2023, at the age of 79 in Burlingame, CA. Pam was born on July 8, 1943 in Michigan, and was a synchronized swimming champ in her younger days and an avid swimmer throughout her life. She was also a trailblazer in advocating for peace and feminism in the '60s and '70s, and even helped lead the co-op housing movement at the University of Michigan.
Pam was a kind and gentle soul. She was a lover of animals and had a soft spot for all creatures great and small. She is survived by her husband, Jack Taylor, her daughter, Josi Taylor, Josi's partner, Michael Dehlwes, and her granddaughter, Emmi (Emmanuelle) Davis. In addition: her sister, Jackie (Jacqueline) Urbanovic and her wife Susan Drieband; her brother, Tony (Anthony) Urbanovic, and his wife, Barbara; and her brother and sister-in-laws, Larry and Carlee Taylor as well as Ross and Sonja Taylor. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Anthony and Mary Urbanovic.
Pam had an impressive career as a high school teacher of French and Spanish and an international banker. She also had a passion for traveling and exploring new places. Her sense of adventure was matched only by her love of animals, which she enjoyed spending time with during her free time.
Pam will be dearly missed, but her legacy will live on through her loved ones and the memories they shared together. Rest in peace, Pam, and swim with the angels.
