Patricia A. Birch

Patricia Ann Birch, known to most as Patty, passed away surrounded by family on July 27, 2025, in Franklin, Indiana. She was born on December 9, 1946, in Indianapolis, Indiana, a beloved daughter to the late Grace "Juanita" Doyle and Raymond Fultz. Her sassy personality and wit, and her fierce love for her family and friends will be profoundly missed by those who were fortunate to have been part of her life's journey.
She was a cherished wife, having shared 57 years with her devoted husband, Richard Birch. Together, they cultivated a family rooted in love, respect, and joy. Patty's legacy continues through her daughters, Robbin Hollis (Lee) and Jolie Aldrich (Mark), and her grandchildren, Sunny Aldrich (Jadon), Willow Aldrich (Aaron),Regenia Crouse (Tim), Jessica Brashers, and J.P. Brashers, as well as, great grandchildren, Lillian Hollis, Noah Brashers, Lexis Wilt, Isaiah Brashers, Loraina Wilt, Jeremiah Ziegler, Emma Backus, Lucilla Smith and Jade, Sapphire, Emerald and Opal Crouse.
Patty is reunited in eternity with her dear sister, Pamela Kline, and beloved grandchildren, Justin Brashers and Jennifer Brashers.
She was a homemaker who had a realtors license and loved singing in the choir with the Sweet Adelines. She was a skilled seamstress, loved doing crafts and could turn simple materials into expressions of beauty and care. She loved to garden, each plant and flower nurtured by her loving touch. A skilled cook, her family will cherish the memory of her delicious meals that brought them together.
Patty was the matriarch whose guidance and love shaped the lives around her. Pets were another source of joy for Patty; her kindness knew no bounds as she provided a loving home to many animals and showed a true talent for grooming, ensuring they always looked their best. Those who knew Patty will forever remember her as a loving, caring, and deeply committed wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her spirit, characterized by her generosity and her fierce love and loyalty, will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched. Her departure is not goodbye, as those who loved her most will carry her with them always.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 6:00 p.m. at Simplicity Funeral & Cremation Care, 7502 Madison Ave. Indianapolis, 46227.
