Patricia Darlene Clarke, known to all as "Dar," of North Ridgeville, Ohio, passed away on September 14, 2025, at the age of 56. Fierce, strong-willed, and unapologetically herself, Dar was a force of nature whose presence could not be ignored and whose love could not be measured.
Born on April 24, 1969, Dar met her soulmate, James "Joe" Clarke, as a teenager. Their love was bold and enduring, and they married on June 15, 1996. Together, they built a life rooted in loyalty, laughter, and a shared love for the open road.
Dar was a woman who didn't back down. She faced life head-on, with grit in her heart and fire in her soul. She lived simply, but her spirit was anything but. Whether she was riding shotgun on Joe's motorcycle, soaking up the sun in Myrtle Beach, or testing her luck at the casino, Dar did everything with conviction and joy.
She was the proud and protective mother of James "Matthew" (Tessa) Clarke of Elyria, Joey (Danielle) Clarke of Brunswick, Nicholas (Bry) Clarke of North Ridgeville, John (Tierra) Clarke of Elyria, and Kayla Clarke of North Ridgeville. Her fierce love extended to her 13 grandchildren, each of whom she adored and defended with the same unwavering strength that defined her life.
Dar's legacy is one of resilience, loyalty, and fierce devotion. She was the kind of woman who stood her ground, spoke her truth, and loved her people with everything she had. Her absence leaves a space that cannot be filled-but her spirit lives on in every life she touched.
Calling hours will be held on September 19, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Carlson Funeral Home in Brunswick. A service will follow at 12:00 PM, with burial at Riverside Cemetery in Cleveland. A luncheon will follow to honor and celebrate the unforgettable life of Dar Clarke.
She was strong. She was bold. She was ours. And she will never be forgotten. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of PATRICIA DARLENE CLARKE, please visit our floral store.
