Born on May 6, 1943, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Eugene H. and Mary E. (Kreider) Myers. Growing up in South Whitley, she graduated from South Whitley High School in 1961.
On November 1, 1969, she married James L. Crouch. They have always made their home in South Whitley raising a daughter. Jim died on June 24, 2008.
In addition to being a homemaker, Patty worked at South Whitley Trucking as a bookkeeper. She then delivered the Post & Mail newspaper to South Whitley residents. A member of the United Methodist Church of South Whitley, she taught Sunday school for years.
Enjoying the outdoors, Patty could often be found tending her flowers, working in the yard, or mowing the grass. She liked to feed and watch the birds. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and she annually decked out the property and house with lights and ornaments. She is remembered for her delicious pea salad. When her great-granddaughter came along, she became her pride and joy, keeping a pillow with her great-granddaughter's photo by her side.

Additionally, she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Steve Sickafoose.
The funeral service is at 2 p.m. Thursday at Smith & Sons Miller Chapel, South Whitley, with Pastor Denver Ayres of the South Whitley Community Church as the officiant.
