Patricia A. Dalton

Patricia Ann Dalton, known affectionately as Pat to those who loved her most, passed away on March 23, 2024. Born on February 9, 1945, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Patricia was a woman of strength and resilience, a beacon of light that shone bright in the lives of those who knew her. Her generous spirit, loving nature, and infectious laughter were her trademarks, making her a joy to be around. Throughout her life, Patricia was moved by a deep devotion to her Catholic faith.
Patricia's life was defined by an extraordinary dedication to her family and a boundless love for her husband, Joseph Dalton, to whom she was married for 60 beautiful years. She was a devoted mother to Maria Dalton and the late Joseph III and Michael Dalton, and she held a special place in her heart for her granddaughter Shannon Allen, and her great-granddaughters Mikaylah Shaw and Stella Mae Hemphill. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Leonore Flynn, her son-in-law Raymond Allen and her siblings Leonore Hassan, Thomas Flynn, Mary Altersitz, Arthur Flynn, James Flynn, Martin Flynn and Margaret Flynn.
Patricia spent her working years in retail sales and customer service, where her infectious personality and genuine care for people were felt by customers at John Wanamaker, Strawbridge & Clothier, Clover, and Acme Markets in Philadelphia. Patricia loved to dance, and her spirit moved irresistibly to the rhythm of life. She cherished vacationing with her family where they created countless memories at places such as Ireland, Disney World, and the Jersey shore.
Patricia's life will be celebrated at a viewing on Monday, April 8, 2024, at 9:15 am at St. Matthew's Church, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am. The final graveside service will be held at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Patricia's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Patricia's life was a testament to her loving spirit, her resilience in the face of adversity, and her unwavering love for her family. Her legacy will continue to inspire and guide those who knew her. Her essence will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
