Patricia Anne (Taylor) Guffey, 72, passed away peacefully in her Seymour home on April 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Seymour on February 21, 1953 to the late Harry W. Taylor Sr. and Mary Lou (Hawn) Taylor.
After graduating from Seymour High School, Patricia had a long career as a factory worker at Valeo, retiring in 2017 after 36 years. She loved travelling all over Michigan with her husband James. Patricia had a keen interest in genealogy and her family history. She enjoyed helping James paint garden ornaments, and loved to relax on their deck, watching her husband tend to his flower garden.
Left behind to cherish Patricia's memory are her beloved husband, James Guffey; brother, Harry (Wendy) Taylor; two grandchildren, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, listed above; two children, Lisa Dawn Guffey and James Wesley Guffey; and sisters, Linda Kay Goodpasture and Mary Jean Williams.
Funeral services for Patricia will be held on Saturday, April 19, at 1:00 p.m. at Voss and Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 316 North Chestnut Street, Seymour. Pastor Gary Dyer will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, April 18, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and again on Saturday, April 19, from 12:00 p.m. until the service begins.
