Patricia Ann Hill-Kaplan (nee Sherman) passed away on December 20th, 2024. She was born on December 31, 1943. She spent her youth in Maryland and Pennsylvania and graduated from Chambersburg Area Senior High School. She was adopted by her parents, Helen and Bill Kavanaugh, who loved her dearly. Pat graduated from Gettysburg College, and held an MBA degree from the University of Baltimore. At Gettysburg she met Walter Hill, and they had two children, Jennifer Patricia Hill and Edward Carleton Hill. Pat later married Sheldon Kaplan and added a stepson Alan Kaplan (Maggie). She was a dedicated grandmother to Sydney Kaplan and Max Kaplan, who affectionately called her "Grammy Pat." She was preceded in death by her son, Edward, her beloved husband, Sheldon, and her ex-husband, Walter. Pat was a fun and intelligent person who loved to travel and play bridge. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and a dear friend to those who were lucky enough to know her. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on January 19th at Prospect Hill Cemetery in York, followed by a luncheon at the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown.
