Patricia Mitchell Middlebrooks

Patricia Mitchell Middlebrooks, 69, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, November 17, 2024, after a hard fought battle with illness. Services will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, with visitation from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon at Rooks Funeral Home, 109 West White Road in Byron, followed by graveside services at 1:00 PM in Oaklawn Cemetery, 720 South Camellia Boulevard in Fort Valley. Rev. Herb Flanders will officiate.
Born in Reynolds, Pat was baptized into the Fort Valley Methodist Church in 1962 and remained an active member and member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class. For 35 years, her late father, Buster Beck AKA "Paw Paw", played Santa at the Methodist Children's Home in Macon. After his death, Pat continued his tradition of packing gift bags for the residents and distributing money envelopes. She had been a past worthy advisor for the Rainbow Girls and enjoyed being a cashier at Freshway Market. Family and friends will remember Pat as kind hearted and how she loved to share and give to others.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Catherine Harris Martin (Jerry) and James G. "Jimmy" Wilson (Hillary); grandchildren, Charles Scott Dyer II, Richard Bryson Schulz, Hanna Wilson, and Amelia Wilson; sister, Deborah Hopkins; nephews, Ron Britt and Kevin Britt; and a host of family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, J. G. "Buster" and Evelyn Beck, and sisters, Barbara Jean Mitchell and Sharon Britt.
Rooks Funeral Home in Byron is in charge of arrangements.
