James Patrick Calloway was born December 25, 1970 in Brook, Indiana to Cecil Calloway and Kimberly (Decker) Calloway. He grew up in Brookston, Indiana and graduated from Frontier High School in 1989. Patrick graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education in 1994. Patrick married Jodie (Hensley) Calloway on June 2, 2002.

Patrick was employed by Vontra Catering and he enjoyed time with his work family very much. He was admired by those who worked for him as a mentor and a friend. His work ethic was respected by all who knew him. The loves of his life were his family, traveling with Jodie, guiding Ziggy through all her adventures, and being called “Papa P” by his grandchildren. He radically rooted for the University of Michigan, enjoyed cold beer, good wings, and well prepared food. Patrick quietly supported several charitable organizations to which he contributed time and resources whenever he was called upon. His family, co-workers, neighbors, friends, and associates knew him to be a person of few words but dependable actions. He was known as a man of integrity who kept his word as often as he gave it.

Patrick is survived by his wife Jodie, son Tim (Faith) Branch, daughters Sarah (Nathan) Parrish and Graci Calloway, grandchildren Loea, Roman, Jaxon, Ki’ilani, Lucy, and Finley; parents Cecil and Kim Calloway, sisters Leah (Tom) Whitford, Sarah (Larry) Mackey, nephews Riley (Mia) Karlstrand, Jack Whitford, Sam Hauke, Will Hauke, Micah Hauke, and niece Abby Whitford.
