Patrick Roy Culbert Jr., a hardworking, faithful, and family-centered man, entered into the loving arms of our Lord. Passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on November 7, 1957, in San Antonio, Texas, to Patrick Culbert Sr. and Celia Ortiz, Patrick spent his life embodying the values of loyalty, humor, and care for others.
Patrick was the loving husband of Melanie K. Hall-Culbert, with whom he shared 32 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they raised four devoted children-Daulton, Rachel, Jessica, and Hannah-creating a family bond that was unshakable. He was the cherished son of Celia Culbert and the late Patrick Culbert Sr., and a beloved brother to Daniel Culbert and his wife Dee Culbert. Patrick was also a proud uncle to many nieces and nephews from both sides of the family, and he remained deeply connected to his extended relatives in Texas.
A graduate of Surrattsville High School in Clinton, Maryland, Patrick went on to build a successful career as a property manager, culminating in his professional journey with the Rappaport Company. Beyond his professional achievements, Patrick was passionate about reading, action-packed movies, science fiction, and comedy shows, interests that brought him joy and relaxation throughout his life.
Family was the cornerstone of Patrick's life. He and Melanie spent countless days driving to their children's sporting events, creating treasured memories with stops for Slurpee's afterwords that became a family tradition. One of Patrick's greatest joys was taking road trips with Melanie-whether to local wineries, crab and oyster feasts, San Antonio, or simply exploring the countryside. These adventures, often accompanied by a Slim Jim and a cold beer from 7-Eleven, were filled with laughter, deep conversations, and quiet moments that strengthened their bond.
Patrick will be remembered for his sharp sense of humor, his unwavering loyalty, and the way he made everyone around him feel seen, heard, and appreciated. He touched the lives of all who knew him, leaving an indelible mark of love and kindness.
Patrick is survived by his devoted family and countless friends who were fortunate to share in his life. He now joins his father, Patrick Sr., in eternal peace.
