Patrick E. Doyle, 78, passed away on July 24, 2025, at the Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Suzanne M. (Lemmer) Doyle. They married August 15, 1970.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Patrick J. and Martha (Stover) Doyle. Patrick graduated from Governor Mifflin High School in 1964 where he wrestled, played football, ran track, and was on the swim team. He worked as an electrician for IBEW 743 for 35 years retiring in 2004. Afterward, he worked for the Reading Phillies, Santander Arena, and as a limousine driver.
Patrick enlisted in the Air Force and served in the Philippines during the Vietnam War. During this time, he played football for them.
Patrick was active in his community serving as a firefighter, a fire police officer, and a 32nd Degree Mason. He coached little league, soccer, and was a Scout Leader for the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts. He was a fraternity advisor for the Omicron Alpha chapter of Alpha Phi Omega at Kutztown University.
Patrick is survived by his wife, Suzanne, two children, Sean Patrick, husband of Jennifer L. Doyle of West Reading and Patrick Ryan, husband of Jill A. Doyle of Tucson, AZ, in addition to four grandchildren: Timothy Patrick, Meghan Elizabeth, Lauren Elizabeth, and Patrick Henry Doyle and two brothers, James M., husband of Linda D. Doyle, Lincoln Park and Michael J., husband of Jill M. Doyle, Shillington.
He was predeceased by his sisters, Sharon and Susan Doyle.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
In honor of his love for animals, memorial donations may be made to the Animal Rescue League at 58 Kennel Rd, Birdsboro, PA 19508 or Humane PA Freedom Center for Animal Life Saving at 1801 N 11th St, Reading, PA 19604.
