Patsy Everett Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Beck Funeral Home in Austin/Round Rock on Feb. 7, 2025.
Patsy Ferrell Everett, a beacon of love and courage, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on June 12, 1948, in Austin, Texas, Patsy's spirited nature and kind heart touched the lives of all who knew her. She departed from this world after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer.
Patsy's early years were spent in the city of her birth, where she was raised by her loving parents, Milton Thorp (Tubby) Ferrell Sr. and Delphine Ferrell, who preceded her in death. She grew up alongside her brother, Milton Thorp (Sonny) Ferrell Jr., who also preceded her in death. Patsy's education was rooted in her hometown, where she graduated from Round Rock High School in 1966, a period filled with cherished memories and lifelong friendships.
Her journey through life was shared with her devoted husband, Melvin Everett, with whom she built a beautiful family. Her devoted and loving daughter, Sherry Summers Anderson, and son-in-law, Roger, were the pride of her life, along with her adored and cherished grandson, Cody Summers, his wife Cecy, and their two sons, Cayda and Logan, who were Patsy's pride and joy. Her role as a matriarch was characterized by unwavering support and boundless love, creating an unbreakable bond that extended to her many nieces and nephews.
Patsy's friendships were a testament to her loyalty and affection. Her lifelong best friends, Carline Preece Schreiber, Charlotte Zimmerman Sauter, and Jody Voigt Mallet, stood by her side through the years, sharing joys, sorrows, and countless treasured moments. These relationships were a cherished part of Patsy's life, adding to the richness of her story.
A woman of many passions, Patsy found solace in the simple pleasures of life. Her hands were rarely still, as she found joy in gardening and sewing, creating beauty in both her home and the world around her. Working in the yard alongside Melvin brought her immense happiness, as did the precious time spent with her family. Patsy's love for her loved ones was the garden she cultivated with the utmost care and dedication.
Her life was a life well-lived-a life filled with laughter, kindness, and an indomitable spirit. She will be dearly missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. This is her legacy.
A visitation for Patsy will be held on Tuesday February 11th from 11 AM to 1 PM at Beck Funeral Home, located at 15709 Ranch Rd 620 N Austin, TX 78717. Burial will follow at 2 PM at Cook Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 N Interstate Hwy 35, Pflugerville, TX 78660.
