Patti Ann “Pat” (Coulter) Runyon December 13,1954 – October 5, 2025

Patti “Pat” Runyon, 70, of West Baden Springs, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington, IN. She was surrounded by the love of her family and friends. She was born December 13, 1954, in Salem, IN to the late William Lester Coulter and Marie (Luttrell) Coulter, both of whom preceded her.

She was also preceded by:

Half-Sister: Wanda (Appleby) McBride

Half-Brother: Jerry Appleby

Half-Sister: Judy (Coulter) Rutherford

Sister-In-Laws: Eva (Runyon) Beatty, Beverly (Runyon) Condra, and Sherri (Runyon) Robbins

Brother-In-Law: Tom Condra

Pat graduated from Paoli High School and attended Indiana University.

She worked at the B+B Shoe Factory and later made a career out of working for Orange County Bank, from which she retired.

Pat and Jerry were married for 50 years. They both loved traveling and made many trips out west. The Canadian Rockies became their favorite, but, Ouray, Colorado would be their second choice. Pat had a heart for animals; especially those who were injured or abandoned. She and Jerry took in countless strays over the years.

Pat also loved hummingbirds, and she looked for her “hummers” every spring.

After her retirement, she and Jerry loved taking leisurely drives through the country enjoying the wildlife and scenery.

Pat enjoyed family gatherings and getting together with friends. She had a special talent for gourmet cooking. The presentation was as beautiful as her food was delicious.

Pat was loved by all, including her pets. She will be missed beyond measure.

James Beatty Jasper, IN

Many nieces and nephews, wonderful cousins, great-nieces and nephews, along with beloved friends and family.

She also leaves behind, Shelbe, the Australian Shepherd, and her three beautiful cats: Sylvester, Sami Sue, and Callie. They will be lost without her presence.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 11, 202,5 at Dillman-Scott Funeral Home. 226 W. Campbell St. Paoli, IN.

Visitation to be held from 10:00 AM to 1:00 Saturday October 11, 2025, at Dillman-Scott Funeral Home, 226 W. Campbell St. Paoli, IN.

Interment to follow funeral service at Ames Chapel.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Orange County Humane Society or your favorite charity.
